FotoMartin - Snow in Combles 2010
We all suffered varying levels of snowfall during November and December 2010, but we would like to share some of our photographs of how Combles and the surrounding area looked like during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. You will see photos of our own back garden with some drifts up to the height of the back fence plus some of the huge overhanging drifts on either side of the sunken lane that leads from Rue Gaston Caron towards Guillemont between the woods and beyond. We are seriously thinking that a 4x4 will be necessary for next winter. Both our cats, Yoyo and Poppy, loved the snow and also the log burner to toast their toes once they returned back indoors!
We would like to thank our friends Sean Heath (with his 4x4) and Frank and Michelle Vega for the use of Frank as driver with his van plus snow chains as we would not have got around the area and taken so many photographs without their help.
